Seasoned...Just a little bit.
You know, being married has been such a blessing! I've been married going on 3 months now and somethings that really stick out to me are 1) The companionship between Veronica and I, 2) Becoming and Evolving into a Oneness, and 3) HOME COOKED MEALS E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y! THAT'S RIGHT! Veronica makes sure her husband gets a home cooked meal everyday. I'm talking... when I get home from work; dinner is either done or in the process. WHAT?!?!?!?! I remember, one time though, we went grocery shopping and she was looking for SEASONING. Long story short, I tried to give her a particular brand and it wasn't what she was looking for so we had to get the RIGHT SEASONING.
Interestingly enough, I just got off the phone with one of my big bros and he prayed, "allow us SEASONED Christians to...". The term SEASONED resonated with me and led me to writing this. What is the point of a SEASONING? Well, SEASONING (mainly Salt and the Word tells us we're the Salt of the Earth) brings flavor to and is actually used to PRESERVE food. So if that is true, as SEASONED Christians, we are to ADD FLAVOR to where ever we are and PRESERVE the life of a dying culture/world.
Are you wondering why you work with the people you work with? Do you ever think, "Why do I hang out with these people or this person?" Do you ask yourself, "Why does it seem like I'm the only person in my family God has given sense to?" (LOL) Or even, "Why do I play ball with this particular group of guys who have no idea of who Christ is?!?!?!?!?" (HA!)
You're that SEASONING! You're that SEASONING that is specifically called for that particular recipe. You are there to PRESERVE LIFE and ADD the FLAVOR of the Gospel in that situation!
Think about it. If food is not SEASONED properly or not at all, what happens? Either it DIES/SPOILS/ROTTENS/ or it tastes BLAND. Flipping the Christmas Cliche' of "Jesus is the REASON for the SEASON", But "YOU ARE SEASONED FOR A REASON."
