Marriage Chronicles V: Write It Down

Habakkuk 2:2-3

The the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

As a Godly husband, I've been charged with being a VISIONARY and the LEADER of my family. As of right now, my family consists of my wife , Veronica, and I. I can honestly say I've never DREAMED so BIG and INTENTIONALLY in my entire life prior to becoming married.

A couple weeks after Veronica and I got married, I decided to create the "McGee Movement". The McGee Movement is charted out goals and benchmarks for my wife and I for the next couple years. After creating it, V and I looked at it, tweeked it a bit, and prayed over it. We asked God to not only bless our desires, but if He had something in store for us different from what we wrote down that we would be okay with it.

About 3-4 weeks ago, after having a conversation with V about where we are/where we're going, I felt as if I failed. I felt as if I wasn't doing a good job of being a VISIONARY and LEADER for my family. I apologized to her and promised her I'd do a better job. The following day, I just so happened to be going through the docs on my laptop and came across The McGee Movement I'd written last year. I read over it and everything I wrote down last year; we either a) ACHIEVED the goal, b) EXCEEDED the goal, or c) are ON TRACK to achieving the goal!

PRAISE GOD!

The timing was IMPECCABLE for me to read The McGee Movement after apologizing to V and getting down on myself about feeling as if I wasn't doing a good enough job as a husband/visionary/leader.

Since then, we have tweeked The McGee Movement and have added some additional goals and milestones we'd like to reach as a TEAM. I'm so excited about checking it again in another 6 months to a year to see what God has allowed us to accomplish.
